Recognising the need to sustain this leadership and connect with a younger, emerging audience, they embarked on a brand modernisation initiative. The objective was to refresh their brand to reflect contemporary aesthetics while retaining flexibility and relevance.

Given the artistic nature of the sector, the updated brand needed to seamlessly blend modernity with the creativity inherent in arts and heritage, ensuring it appealed to both current and future clientele.

An iconic brand mark

A flexible new mark, without an assigned colour scheme, spearheaded the new look, supported by a contemporary font.

The brand mark was derived from the negative spaces of the initials "PB." The updated brand guide reflected this flexibility, allowing the relationship between the brand mark and typestyle to adapt to different applications, ensuring versatility and consistency across all uses.

A digital transformation

We transformed Paul Bristow's web presence to align with their core focus on arts, heritage, and museums.

Moving away from a traditional "about us" format, we created an immersive online gallery showcasing their stunning bespoke textile creations. This visual-first approach not only captivates existing clients but also attracts new ones by highlighting the company's impressive portfolio and capabilities.

To ensure a cohesive look, we developed a photography style guide that emphasises a contemporary aesthetic. The site stays dynamic thanks to a user-friendly WordPress backend, allowing the team to easily upload and feature their latest projects.
